In the Shadow of His Wings fine art, features a 1953 Jaguar XK120 Roadster with a WWII B17 Bomber airplane on fine art metal canvas. The two-seater XK120 was originally intended as a test and show model for the new 3.4-liter, 160 bhp six-cylinder engine, but not for the production. However, when it was launched at the 1948 London Motor Show, it caused a sensation. Everybody fell in love with the wing line and Jaguar quickly put the XK120 into production.
The plane, dubbed, The Flying Fortress, is a B17 Bomber. It was used by the USAAF in daylight strategic bombing campaigns during World War II against German targets.
