For the SILENT AUCTION happening at Jazz 2022 to benefit The Ocean Institute's educational programs, one lucky bidder will get to select from one of the following three fine artworks by Breck Rothage valued at $1,450 – $1495 to take home:
- Breck's Wave, Center Cut – 24 in. x 36 in.
- Aquaflow Silvertone – 30 in. x 30 in.
- Smooth Peak – 24 in. x 36 in.
BRECK'S WAVE CENTER CUT:
A fine art exploration, made from a true cornerstone work, Breck's Wave Center Cut takes the most beautiful parts of Breck's Wave so even those with narrower wall space can enjoy the colors, motion, and light of this special piece. Created a few hundred feet to the right of the jetty in Newport Beach at an iconic, local surf spot know as – Cylinders.
FROM THE ARTIST: "Often, I am asked to customize a particular artwork for a collector. Breck’s Wave, in particular, has been a very popular work. One day, a client asked if I could develop a triptych of Breck's Wave. During the process of customizing and creating, I was really liking that center piece. As I was driving away after installing the full triptych, I thought to myself, “I like that so much, I’m going to offer the center portion as a stand alone piece. And here it is."
