ART EXPERIENCE: Smooth Peak

For the SILENT AUCTION happening at Jazz 2022 to benefit The Ocean Institute's educational programs, one lucky bidder will get to select from one of the following three fine artworks by Breck Rothage valued at $1,450 – $1495 to take home: 

1. Breck's Wave, Center Cut – 24 in. x 36 in. 
2. Aquaflow Silvertone – 30 in. x 30 in.
3. Smooth Peak – 24 in. x 36 in.

SMOOTH PEAK:

Part of the popular fine art Impressions Collection, Smooth Peak evokes power and majesty –  perfect for pride of place in the home or corporate office. The focus of the wave is dramatically played out in the steep pulling back of the swell, topped with blowing sea spray amid the crashing crest of the wave. 

DID YOU KNOW: The fine artwork in the Impressions Collection was created purely "in camera" with artistic motion and light – without any Photoshop use. 

FROM THE ARTIST: " Smooth Peak has so much drama from the blowing spray to the deep sweep of the swell. This ocean spot at The Wedge in Newport Beach can have a wild mix of Pacific ocean action. My job is to be able to extract a moment in time to move the emotions as the tide moves the sea."
