The Seashore is Calling You
We, as humans, are drawn to the water’s edge. No matter where we live, we share an innate desire to be near it. While rivers and lakes hold their own charm, the draw of the seashore is the ultimate source of attraction. Beyond what words can define, the ocean simply moves our emotions — calms our spirits and soothes our souls, offering a profound sense of respite.
It is my pleasure to bring that unique balance of calm and excitement to the spaces where you live. My goal is always to give people a “window view” — without the window.
Using motion and light as my tools, I reveal the hidden majesty within the Southern California wave. The human eye typically processes in a blur of moments, but my work halts time entirely. We don’t just see these images; we feel them. By freezing a millisecond in time — like Sea Gem, captured at 250 times faster than the blink of an eye — or by carefully crafting the shutter to allow the ocean to speak in graceful and elegant lines, as in Watercolor Wall or Smooth Roll, I craft these artworks to bring the ocean’s energy into your home.
The technical expertise, creative insight and immense patience result in a surreal, ethereal aesthetic. It mirrors the exact calming effect we experience when gazing at the ocean — bringing it into your own private world.
All of my work is created completely “in-camera” without digital manipulation or software such as Photoshop. For my exclusive Silvertone Editions, I employ a unique ‘double developing’ technique isolating a singular color palette while letting the rest of the image breathe in meticulously crafted grey tones. These are not standard black-and-white; they are powerful and custom-toned, spanning from pure black to brilliant white.
In partnership with one of the finest labs in the country, every artwork is finished to my precise specifications. Your museum-grade artwork is delivered directly to your front door, ensuring it arrives flawlessly at your home.
A Lifeline in the Studio
For over twenty years, I have had the privilege of sharing my artwork with collectors, corporate spaces, and fine art galleries across Laguna Beach and around the globe. Today, my studio practice looks a little different, and its purpose has become profoundly personal.
Alongside my passion for and devotion to my art, I have stepped into the role of full-time caregiver for my brother as he navigates the realities of progressive, severe dementia. In this season of life, creating these pieces keeps me grounded. Shifting my focus fully to online gallery sales allows me to stay right where I need to be: right by my brother’s side.
To expand my reach and make the healing power of the ocean accessible to more homes, I am incredibly excited to introduce Premium Glossy Prints for the very first time, alongside my legacy HD Aluminum masterworks.
