PAINTER'S STROKE

Imagine  painting the 'feeling' of the grandeur of the seashore, where the sea kisses the shore.  The live 'action' of motion with graceful lines, the salty white froth cresting and coming down to meet the sandy shore being briskly drawn up into the face of the wave.  Gorgeous aquamarine tones topped with the deep blue sea finish it off.  All this expressed in what appears to be carefully crafted 'painter's strokes' deftly designed and placed.  Truly a 'painterly' masterpiece.

This is all done PURELY in camera and NOT manipulated in Photoshop or like software.  It is 'pure photography.'

 — I have acutally had some argue with me, insisting that it IS a painting, as they give me their reasons why.  I love it — it moves the emotions and soothes the soul.

Breck — "One early May morning, I was at the Wedge in Newport Beach looking to catch a wave – not to ride but to capture.  Looking to show the beauty of the sea as it meets the sand, I slowed the shutter speed down to allow the 'motion' to be expressed.

The mix of colors from the warm sandy shore, the salty white froth and spray and the emerald green in the face of the wave, framed by the deep blue of the sea — the full expression of the emotion at the seashore."
