"Let My People Go" design came to me when I was told by the government that I must stay 'in the house' and only allowed out for necessary and critical needs. I remember being on the beach in Newport Beach at the world famous Wedge to take pictures. It was the 4th of July; the busiest day of the year for beach, but more than that, the waves were reaching an astonishing 25 feet! Rare and incredible time for me to be there.
I was there early, but by 9am, with 'hundreds' of people there to see the surf and surfers, a loud speaker announced that everyone had to leave. They had police helicopters in the air, police boats in the water, ATVs on the sand and a 'lot' of police on foot to kick people out.
All because there were some 'cooties' or something. This was insane.
"Let My People Go" is what came to me as that whole thing started. My creative juices went to work.
