Breck's Wave Collection

The rolling break of the wave with gorgeous translucent aquamarine face, complimented by the salty white spray and froth mixed with the dazzling warm sand rushing back out to the sea and all topped off with the deep blue ocean.  This one has it all!  Truly one of the all-time favorites!

"As I was shooting at the Wedge one 'big wave' day, I was seeing all of these surfers in black wetsuits in the middle of my waves [your waves].  I am always looking to capture the 'artistry of the wave' and not surfers — who wants a surfer over their sofa or bed?

Being frustrated with the 'ants' in my picture frames when I have a beautiful wave to capture, I kept noticing off to my right this lovely color and texture and form coming in.  I turned, re-framed and started to capture the little brother to the Wedge, some 300 feet off the jetty — 'Cylinders' [known to the surfers]."
