The 38th annual Mission Fed ArtWalk is happening this weekend in the streets of Little Italy in San Diego. Breck will be on-hand to show his staunch support for local Southern California fine art events.

You can find Breck's fine artwork in booth #173 at the corner of Columbia Street and Beech Street. Breck will be on-site from 11 am to 6 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday. 

Smooth Roll and Smooth Roll Blues fine art highlights the colors and textures found to the South of Laguna Beach at Aliso Creek where the blues are rich with depth as they transition to aqua, turquoise and sea foam green, with feathers of salty froth atop the rolling wave breaking on the damp, warm sand. 

With the look of a fine painting of old, Painter's Stroke captures the eye and the imagination as the focal point in any room as the sea spray bursts off the crest of the wave. Part of our Impressions Collection, fine art collectors have commented how this work is timeless, yet current all at once. 

The Breck Rothage Fine Art Studio is proud to announce Watercolor Wall raised $4,250 for The Ocean Institute during their Jazz 2022 fundraising gala on March 25, 2022 in support of the Institute's marine and maritime educational programs. Part of the evenings LIVE AUCTION, Watercolor Wall sized to 6 ft. x 3 ft. was part of a raucous bid, overseen by auctioneer Christopher Aslanian. The artist, Breck Rothage, was even called up on the fly to talk about Watercolor Wall during the bidding.

Breck Rothage Fine Art is a proud supporter of The Ocean Institute and has been invited to participate in their LIVE AUCTION and SILENT AUCTION at the gala to raise funds for The Ocean Institute's marine science and maritime history programs, supporting 100,000 children, teachers, parents, and visitors annually. To participate in the SILENT AUCTION beginning noon Friday March 25, 2022, you can log on from home to view and bid on any item in the auction – including Breck's work. Winner's will be revealed Saturday March 26, 2022.

Watercolor Wall was created purely in-camera – exclusively using artistic motion and light – rather than relying on post processing tools such as Photoshop.

For this technique to work, the ambient light and motion of the wave must come together with precision to bring out the true colors of the water, the powerful motion of the waves, and the beauty of the sea spray as it wisps across the crest of the barrel.
